Umu-Nneochi L.G.A Of ABIA State

Umu-Nneochi officially recognized as a Local Government Area (LGA) in Abia State, Nigeria has its headquarters in the town of Nkwoagu. It is amongst the local governments that make up Abia North senatorial zone. It spans a landmass of 354.1 km² and had a population of 163,119 in the 2006 census, projected to increase to 237,500 by 2022. Umunneochi LGA is rich in mineral resources such as granite, quartzite, and laterite.
