Kwali L.G.A Of FCT State

Kwali Local Government Area (LGA), created on October 1, 1996, by the military administration of General Sani Abacha, with its headquarters in the town of Kwali [1]. It comprises several towns and villages such as Wako, Yangoji, Kundu, Kwali, Gumbo, Ashara, Kwali, Pai, and Kilankwa[2]. Covering an area of 1,241 km², the LGA had a population of 86,174 in 2006, projected to grow to 188,000by 2022, with a density of 151.5/km² [3]. Kwali LGA is home to a booming pottery business and serves as a means of livelihood for a substantial percentage of the LGA’s inhabitants. Textile making is another key economic activity in Kwali LGA.
