Ussa Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in Lissam, is part of Taraba South Senatorial District. Created in 1996, Ussa covers an area of 946.1 square kilometres. It had a population of 90,889 in 2006 census, with projections reaching around 143,000 in 2022, giving it a density of 87 people per square kilometres.
