Gashaka Local Government Area (LGA),
headquartered in Serti, is in the Taraba Central Senatorial District.
Established in 1996, it covers a vast land area of 8,483 square kilometres,
with a population of 87,166 (2006 census), estimated to be 137,100 in 2022,
giving it a population density of about 15 people per square kilometres.
