Rabah Local Government Area is situated in Sokoto East Senatorial District, with its headquarters in the town of Rabah[1]. The LGA encompasses several towns and villages, including Gandi, Rabah, Galadima, Baraya Zaki, Tofa, Goddodi, Yari Gwaddadi, and Mai Kiyara[2]. Rabah is notably the hometown of Sir Ahmadu Bello, the first Premier of Northern Nigeria[3]. Covering an area of 2,130 km², Rabah LGA had a population of 149,152 in 2006, which was projected to reach around 257,400 by 2022, giving a population density of 120.9 people per km² [4].
