Illela Local Government Area is situated in Sokoto East Senatorial District, with its headquarters in the town of Illela[1]. The LGA shares a northern border with the Republic of Niger. It includes several towns and villages, such as Gidan Hamma, Kalmalo, Tozai, Gadan, Dango, Araba, Ketti, Tarke, and Damba [2].
