Ogbomosho North Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in Kinnira , is located in the North Senatorial District in Oyo State, Nigeria. It was founded on 27th September 1991. The LGA covers a total area of 235 km² and has a population of about 245,000 as per the 2006 census , with a projected population of 284,200 in 2022 , giving it a population density of 1,571 people per square kilometer. Ogbomosho North is known for its thriving trade sectors, as well as its significant educational institutions, including Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), a public research university, and the Nigerian Baptist Medical Center and Bowen University Teaching Hospital.
