Ibarapa Central Local Government Area (LGA), with headquarters in the town of Igbo-Ora , is a significant local government within Oyo State, Nigeria. It was created on December 4, 1996, by General Sanni Abacha. Ibarapa Central covers an area of 440 square kilometers with a population of 102,979 (2006 census) and is projected to have a population of 147,600 in 2022, resulting in a population density of 337.5 people per square kilometer .
