Irewole L.G.A Of OSUN State

Irewole Local Government Area (LGA), with its headquarters in Ikire, is located in the Osun West Senatorial District of Osun State, Nigeria. Created in 1976, Irewole covers 256.5 square kilometers and had a population of 143,599 (2006 census), projected to be 185,400 in 2022, resulting in a population density of 722.7 people per square kilometer.   The area is renowned for the production of Dodo-Ikire.
