Atakunmosa West, headquartered in Osu (Oshu) , is a local government in the Osun East Senatorial District in Osun State, Nigeria. Established in December 1996, it covers an area of 448.2 square kilometers. The population was 68,643 (2006 census)  and is projected to be 88,700 in 2022, with a population density of 197.9 people per square kilometer . The economy is heavily based on farming, fishing, and trading activities.
