The economy of Akoko South-East revolves around farming, particularly the cultivation of yam, cassava, and cocoa.[4]. The area also has a growing trade sector with vibrant markets that attract buyers from neighboring communities. The rugged terrain, interspersed with rocky outcrops, adds to the unique geography of the LGA.
