Ikeja Local Government Area (LGA) serves as the capital city of Lagos State and is situated within the Lagos West Senatorial District. It is known for its vibrant industrial and administrative significance and is a central hub in southwestern Nigeria[1].

The LGA spans 42.31 square kilometres and had a population of 317,614 in 2006. By 2022, the population was projected to increase to 470,200, resulting in a population density of 11,112 people per square kilometre[2].
