Eti-Osa Local Government Area (LGA) is a prominent region in Lagos State, Nigeria, located within the Lagos Central Senatorial District. Known for its blend of urban and coastal characteristics, Eti-Osa was once the location of Nigeria's capital, which has left a legacy of thriving domestic and international business presence. Spanning 174.9 square kilometres, Eti-Osa recorded a population of 283,791 in 2006. By 2022, this figure was projected to rise to 420,100, reflecting a population density of approximately 2,402 people per square kilometre[1].

The LGA's economy primarily revolves around fishing, farming, and trading, but it also hosts a significant number of horticultural gardens, especially in Ikoyi and Victoria Island. Commercial activity thrives here, with numerous modern markets, banks, hotels, and clubs driving trade and services[2].  

Education is a focal point in Eti-Osa, featuring notable institutions such as the British International School, Lagos in Victoria Island, the Lekki British School, and the American International School of Lagos. It also hosts a few tourist attractions like Nike Art Gallery, Elegushi Royal Beach and the likes. With its unique economic activities, world-class educational institutions, and historical significance, Eti-Osa remains a key area within Lagos State.
