Ilorin West Local Government Area (LGA), created in 1991 from the old Ilorin Local Government Area, is located in the Kwara Central Senatorial District, with its headquarters at Oja-Oba[1]. Covering an area of 103.5 km², the LGA had a population of 365,211 in 2006, projected to grow to 548,300 by 2022, with a density of 5,298/km² [2], making it one of the most densely populated areas in the state. Ilorin West boasts a bustling trade sector, with prominent markets like Oja Oba, Oja Tuntun, and Mandate Market.
