Ilorin East L.G.A Of KWARA State

Ilorin East Local Government Area (LGA), established in 1991 from the former Ilorin LGA, is part of the Kwara Central Senatorial District, with its administrative headquarters in Oke-Oyi[1]. The LGA comprises towns and districts such as Temidire, Badari, Ibagun, Adwole, Baboko, and Oke-Oyi[2]. It covers a land area of 473.7 km², with a population of 207,462 in 2006, projected to grow to 311,500 by 2022, giving a density of 657.6/km² [3]. The area is known for its thriving agriculture, with farmers cultivating maize, cereals, locust beans, and cassava.
