Ekiti Local Government Area (LGA) is located in Kwara State, within the Kwara South Senatorial District, and has its administrative headquarters in Araromi Opin. Ekiti LGA was carved out of the old Irepodun local government area in October 1991 and shares boundaries with Ekiti State in the West[1]. The LGA consists of several towns and villages, including Etan, Isapa, Ejiu, Obbo-Ile, Eruku, Ajuba, Osi, and Oke-Opin[2]. It spans an area of 478.5 km² and recorded a 2006 population of 54,399, which was projected to rise to 81,700 by 2022, resulting in a density of 170.7/km² [3].
