Igalamela-Odolu L.G.A Of KOGI State

Igalamela/Odolu local government area is headquartered in the town of Ajaka in Kogi East Senatorial District. It is bordered by the Niger River in the west and Enugu State in the east. The major towns in Igalamela/Odolu LGA include Odolu, Ajaka, Ofodo, Akpanya, Ogbodibo, Agbokete, Ogbolibomi, and Ojigbe[1]. With an area of 2,174 km², the LGA had a population of 147,048 in the 2006 census, projected to rise to 198,200 in 2022, resulting in a density of 91.17/km²[2]. Farming is a key economic activity in Igalamela Odolu LGA with a wide variety of crops grown in the area.
