Koko/Besse is a Local Government Area (LGA) in Kebbi State, Nigeria, with its administrative headquarters located in the town of Koko. This LGA falls under the Kebbi North Senatorial District. The town of Koko was founded by Mallam Mamman Dan-Gindi, a grandson of Mallam Abdulsalami Bagimbane, and is predominantly inhabited by the Gimbanawa and Fulani ethnic groups. Koko/Besse Local Government Area, situated within the Gwandu Emirate, is one of the four emirate councils in Kebbi State.
