Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, with its headquarters in Utu Etim Ekpo, is located at coordinates 5°1′N 7°37′E within the Akwa Ibom North-West (Ikot Ekpene) senatorial district.The 2006 population census recorded 105,922 people in the LGA, and projections estimate the population at 135,200 by 2022. Covering an area of 200.4 km², the population density is approximately 674.6 people per km². The postal codes for the area are 520 and 532.
