Charanchi Local Government Area (LGA) is in Katsina State, Nigeria with its headquarters in Charanchi town. Established in 1996 as a result of the reorganization of the former Rimi Local Government, Charanchi LGA encompasses several towns and villages, including Kuraye, Doka, Banye, Radda, Koda, Ganuwa, Tsakatsa, Safana, Maje, and the eponymous Charanchi.Demographic data from the 2006 census recorded the population of Charanchi LGA at 136,989. However, projections for 2022 estimate a significant population increase to 244,800. This substantial growth rate is reflected in the annual population change of 3.7% between 2006 and 2022. The LGA covers a total area of 532.3 square kilometers, resulting in a population density of approximately 459.9 people per square kilometer as of 2022. The postal code for the area is 822.
