Doguwa Local Government Area (LGA) is located in the southernmost part of Kano State, Nigeria, within the Kano South Senatorial District. Its administrative center is in the town of Riruwai. Established in 1991, Doguwa LGA covers an area of approximately 1,399 square kilometers and had a population density of 177.1 as per the 2006 census, which recorded a population of 151,181.
