Sanga Local Government Area (LGA) also known as Igbunbu, headquartered in Gwantu, is situated within Kaduna State's Southern Senatorial District. Its borders touch Jema'a LGA to the west, and extend to Plateau State, bordering Barkin Ladi, Bokkos, and Riyom LGAs to the east. To the south, Sanga LGA shares boundaries with Akwanga, Karu, Kokona, and Wamba LGAs in Nasarawa State.Covering a land area of 735 square kilometers, Sanga LGA was home to approximately 151,485 residents as per the 2006 census.
