Ehime Mbano  is a Local Government Area in Imo State, Nigeria, situated in the southeastern part of the country. Its administrative headquarters is located in Umuezeala. As one of the 27 LGAs in Imo State, it comprises numerous towns and villages. It is amongst the local governments that make up Imo North senatorial zone. Covering an area of 190.9 km², Ahiazu Mbaise LGA recorded a population of 130,575 during the 2006 census, with estimates projecting an increase to 181,500 by 2022. Ehime Mbano LGA hosts several vibrant festivals, including the Iwa Akwa and Iri Ji festivals, which are celebrated with great enthusiasm and cultural significance in the region.
