Ido-Osi L.G.A Of EKITI State

Ido-Osi Local Government Area is situated in Ekiti State, Southwest Nigeria, within the Ekiti North Senatorial District. The administrative headquarters is located in the town of Ido[1]. Covering an area of 228.1 square kilometres, Ido-Osi had a population of about 160,001 in 2006, with a 2022 projection estimating around 239,600 people. This brings the population density to approximately 1,050 people per square kilometre[2].

The local economy is primarily agricultural, with residents cultivating a variety of root crops and grains such as yams, cassava, maize, and rice. Small-scale industries in the area focus on processing these agricultural products, along with activities in printing, baking, weaving, and carpentry[3]. The LGA’s postal code is 371[4].
