Emure L.G.A Of EKITI State

Emure Local Government Area (LGA), headquartered in Emure-Ekiti, is located in the Ekiti South Senatorial District of Ekiti State, Nigeria. Emure covers about 256.2 square kilometres. In 2006, its population was estimated at 94,264, with projections in 2022 suggesting a population of nearly 141,200, giving a population density of approximately 488 people per square kilometre[1].

 

Emure's economy is primarily agricultural, with key crops including cowpea, cocoa, and plantains. The area is also known for its bead production, and local artisans skilled in fabric weaving. Emure’s postal code is 361[2].
