Aba South L.G.A Of ABIA State

Aba South Local Government Area is located in the southern part of Abia state and has its headquarters in Aba. It is amongst the local governments that make up Abia South senatorial zone. It was created in 1991 when the old Aba township was divided into two Aba South and Aba North. With a population of about 427,421 (2006 census),  it covers an area of 37.65 km² and population is projected to be 622,400 in 2022. Eziukwu Road market previously known as cemetery market is located in this LGA. It is well-known for trade in variety of products.
