Yala L.G.A Of CROSS RIVER State

Yala local Governmet Area of cross river state was created in august 1999 with it’s headquarters in Okpoma . Yala is under the Cross River North Senatorial District and had a population of 211,557 people in 2006 and a projection of 322,200 in 2022. It has a population density of 190 people per kilometer square and covers an area of 1,689 kilometer square. The economy of Yala thrives on farming of crops like yam,plantain, and pineapple. Okpama salt pond and the Lugard wall in Gabu are two notable landmarks in the area. Its postal code is 550106.
